About the role

A new and exciting opportunity for the position of Account Manager with Integrated Diagnostic Solutions (IDS) business within the BD Life Sciences Division has arisen. Focusing on our diagnostic systems, you will be responsible for selling a range of solutions and products across the Spanish Networks.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for Andalusia region.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Handling customer complaints in accordance with BD IDS policy and processes defined. Meeting or exceeding sales quota and total company market share in assigned territory.
  • Staying attentive to competitor’s strategics and centralized purchasing departments trends. Attending and participating in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed.
  • Adopt good practices In BD Way of selling process, CRM, tenders and quote tools.
  • Get annual goals.
  • Adhering to company policies and conduct all business in an ethical manner.
  • Managing business with BD IDS profitability taking advantage of synergies and encouraging with the sale of solutions to change the customer's purchasing process.
  • About you

    Coming from life sciences with biochemistry, microbiology, biology, pharmacy and/or molecular background and at least 3 years of previous healthcare sales in capital equipment, you will have a strong knowledge of the Spanish market. You will have a hunger and drive to develop new business as well as the ability to maintain long term relationships with key accounts. The successful applicant will demonstrate the following key competencies:

  • Proficiency in English.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).
  • Strong knowledge of the Laboratory Medicine Field, laboratory workflow and diagnosis process from request to result
  • Hardworking, enthusiastic, resilient and demonstrate a successful record in training healthcare professionals which will include the implementation of solutions oriented to improve workflows and healthcare processes
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to identify new opportunities whilst maintaining excellent customer relations within established accounts and develop key opinion leaders.
  • Able to demonstrate effective negotiation and account management skills.
  • Interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
  • Able to identify the right partners to lead the process of selling solutions.
  • Able to drive teamwork and support the business towards a new go to market model.
