As our new Junior Income Auditor hero, you will play an important role in the day-to-day business operation of The Student Hotel. As part of the Income Audit team you will help to make sure that all revenues and payments are well received and correctly registered. You will be responsible for all our 16 locations throughout Europe giving you a great inside in different cultures and ways of doing business. You love Excel and ensuring that everting is under control.

What will you be doing to make that happen?

  • To ensure that all revenues have been captured, recorded, and posted accurately.
  • Prepares Monthly Revenue Report for management review.
  • Responsible for the control of the Bank Reconciliations process.
  • Control and secure cash and cash equivalents for property according to cash handling policy and procedures.
  • Checking all credits, voids, and complimentary postings. Any discrepancies must be recorded and reported.
  • Investigates and errors and discrepancies discovered in the audit process are corrected.
  • Recommends procedural changes where necessary to correct deficiencies.
  • Responsible for balancing the income with the respective ledger balances (Guest Ledger, City Ledger, and Deposit Ledger).
  • Research chargebacks and build dispute cases to recover funds from the Retailer following current SOP’s.
  • Assist and train Operations and other departments when needed.
  • Responsible for performing any additional duties assigned by Management and assisting in other areas of Accounting as needed.
  • Requirements


  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in the same position or similar role
  • Background studies preferably in Economics, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Excel (V-lookups, Index, Formulas, etc.)
  • You are well acquainted with PMS and ERP systems.
  • Excellent in English (both written and verbal) and preferably a second European language
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision and able to meet deadlines
