The Research Associate is involved throughout the entire value chain of the search process, working in conjunction with recruiters throughout the kick-off, strategy, and execution of search engagements to bring each search to successful completion. 

This is an integral role that is the backbone of a successful internal recruiting team.

The primary functions for the Research Associate are to identify high-quality and potential candidates for senior-level assignments, to partner and collaborate with executive recruiters, to build intellectual capital, and keep up-to-date with key market trends and competitive intelligence. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver high-impact executive search recruitment research in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment
  • Partner with team and business leaders to execute project needs and calibrate deliverables for mission-critical and/or hard-to-fill positions
  • Ability to listen and understand the goals of our hiring team and create a robust search strategy
  • Provide strategic guidance and become an advisor to executive recruiters
  • Troubleshoot, problem-solve and provide possible solutions for challenging projects
  • Prepare/contribute to search status reports and lead/participate in client update meetings
  • Ability to engage with senior-level executives in a polished and professional manner to articulate talent and market findings with a high level of business acumen
  • Continually contribute to the knowledge base of the group, sharing new information about industries and talent pools or profile types
  • Become a leader and expert in a specific industry, LOB, product, or region; demonstrating the ability to advise and consult
  • Propose creative ideas and innovative research techniques to uncover hidden talent
  • Serve as database subject matter expert (SME) for the executive search team, and continue to establish best practices and streamline recruitment processes
  • Actively read and monitor industry trades, track key industry moves, and assess recruitment trends
  • PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    The Research Associate will have experience in analytical or information research-related roles, ideally within retained or in-house search firms. (S)he should be an out-of-box and creative thinker with a strong focus on problem-solving. (S)he should also be motivated by an intellectually stimulating recruitment environment with the desire to identify the best talent for Oracle.

  • Minimum of 5-10 years in an analytic or information research related role
  • Previous experience in either retained executive search or corporate leadership/executive recruiting is required
  • Technology industry experience preferred
  • Combination of knowledge across multiple competencies, including: Cloud, SaaS, Consulting/Professional Services, and International Research
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as within a team
  • Must be able to navigate different personalities
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management skills
  • Solid judgment skills for assessing people and situations
  • The ability to operate in the gray and make sense of many data points to drive a successful outcome
  • The gravitas and ability to communicate at senior executive levels
  • Business-minded with the ability to understand the dynamics of company performance
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to find answers using creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong focus on ownership and execution with the ability to persevere when faced with a challenge
  • EDUCATION

    A Bachelor's degree is preferred. An advanced degree is a plus.

    Detailed Description and Job Requirements

    The Research Associate is involved throughout the entire value chain of the search process, working in conjunction with recruiters throughout the kick-off, strategy, and execution of search engagements to bring each search to a successful completion.

    Identify high quality and potential candidates for senior level assignments. Partner and collaborate with executive recruiter. Build intellectual capital and keep up-to-date with key market trends and competitive intelligence. Execute on a variety of searches while delivering against a deadline. Ability to listen and understand the goals of our hiring team and create a robust search strategy. Ability to thoughtfully create the target company universe and prioritize against it. Research and identify prospective talent to provide a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for each search engagement. Collaborate and partner with the executive recruiters by sharing market insights gathered during the course of a project. Manage or assist in creating all hiring team facing presentation materials for intake session, client-slate updates and special projects. Proactively map and track top talent in competitors, interpret relevance and disseminate the information. Ability to get up to speed in a new market, LOB, product, region, etc. to identify top talent and find hidden talent. Utilize existing tools, resources and technologies to assist in identifying top talent quickly including mining our internal CRM database. Co-lead research specific projects
