Software Developer - SRE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance monitoring framework (data collection, alert aggregation, dashboarding) and Implement and enhance alerting logic (framework).
  • Identify and detect repetitive incidents (stability, reliability) and develop solutions to fix problems. 
  •  Work on technical resolution for incidents and identify technical root cause. 
  • Measure and report SLI, MTTx in periodic reviews.
  • Update runbooks with changes to process / tools. 
  • Participate in Postmortems to arrive at remedial actions. 
  • Participate in On-Call Incident Technical Support.
  • Support CI/CD pipeline implementation and integration to quality, security. 
  • What we are looking for:

  • College or university degree with focus on IT or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Min. 3 years of IT experience, 1 year in relevant area (DevOps / SRE).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skill. Fluent English skills (verbal and written).
  • Aptitude to be a good team player and the desire to learn and implement new technologies. 
  • Specific technical skills:
  • Good experience with CI/CD pipelines including BitBucket, Jenkins. 
  • Knowledge of Agile software development principles including using JIRA. 
  • Knowledge and experience on containerization using Docker. 
  • Experience in configuring monitoring and metrics in Grafana and Prometheus. 
  • Has exposure to networking concepts (SSH, FTP, TCP/IP, DNS, Load balancing, CDN etc.). 
  • Has experience in any scripting language (bash / python / perl). 
  • Experience in 24/7 high availability production environment. 
  • Nice to have experience:
  • Experience on Container Orchestration using Kubernetes. 
  • Knowledge and/or experience using AWS Services specifically EC2, S3. 
  • Exposure to operating Apache Kafka clusters or ELK Stack (Elastic, Kibana). 
  • Knowledge of Load/Performance testing and Chaos engineering of distributed systems. 
  • NodeJS or TypeScript knowledge. 
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes. 
  • Experienced user of agile/scrum methods.
  • Problem solving skills and hands on attitude.
  • Main technologies we use:

  • Microservices architecture. 
  • AWS
  • Messaging and Streaming frameworks (RabbitMQ / Kafka) 
  • Docker & Kubernetes 
  • Monitoring and alerting: Grafana, Instana, Prometheus, ELK etc. 
  • Scripting language (bash / python / perl). 
  • CI/CD: Jenkins, BitBucket, Jenkins. 
  • Linux.
